The scanner often alters the actual color of the drawing so the final scan sometimes looks different from the steps you can see in the work in progress. But when, beside this, your A3 scanner dies in the middle of the WIP, you also get the difference between Step 2 and Step 3. Don't worry, the final scan will look close to the original because it will be displayed only after making printing tests.
