To explain the title, the idea here is to show a younger and more 'natural' Marilyn Monroe (1948), before her beauty spot on the cheek or her half-closed eyes, but with a hairdo she'd later have, like in an issue of LIFE magazine in 1953.
(*) Although the skin tones are pretty light, the drawing is considered as semi realistic because of all the details in her main features and her hair.
